Situated in Quartier Riad Laarouss, just a few minutes’ walk north of Djemaa el Fna in the heart of the ancient medina of Marrakech, Maison Africa is a classic Marrakech Riad dating back to the 18thcentury. into a charming small hotel of eight spacious guest rooms and
suites. Guests can cool off in and relax around one of the largest
plunge pools in the medina. Two tranquil palm-filled courtyards, a
comfortable dining room/salon, a fresh juice bar and private roof
garden/terrace offer a choice of public areas in which to unwind. A
range of health and beauty treatments are also available including
a massage/treatment room and hammam. High speed wireless internet
access is available throughout the riad.
Decorated in the earthy, exotic and vibrant shades of Africa all guest bedrooms are equipped to a high specification with all the modern facilities expected of a first category boutique riad. From the Congo to Timbuktu, all guest rooms are en-suite and come equipped with reversible air-conditioners/heaters, iPod docks, a local mobile phone (for contact with riad staff when out and about), bath robes/slippers, a hair-dryer and personal safe. Bathrooms are very generous in size and beautifully constructed of tadelakt-finished walls and hand-made local polished brass washbasins and showers.
In the deep south of Morocco

Desert is a beguiling wilderness of palm-filled oases, vast sand
dunes, ancient lake-beds, camel caravans, adobe mud-brick villages
and men in blue. Off-the-beaten-track and accessible by camel, on
foot or by 4×4 it is here that the stylish Sahara Safari Camp is
located. Set between dunes and date palm trees with a dramatic mesa
backdrop, guests are assured of daytime adventure and restful
nights in comfort. From alfresco desert dining under the stars to
watching the rising sun from the highest dune, the Sahara Safari
Camp provides a stylish alternative to the more basic nomad-style
camps typical of the
region.
Access to camp is by camel, 4×4 or on foot. The camp features 8 spacious and airy ‘walk-in’ Caidal safari tents, 4 with double beds and 4 with twin beds. Duvets with white cotton covers, sheets and blankets offer warmth and comfort on chilly Saharan nights. Each tent is furnished with Berber rugs, chairs, table, mirror, storage racks, lantern supports and solar-charged lights. Iron wash-stands are equipped with locally-made clay bowls and water jugs, filled with hot water on request. Warm showers can be enjoyed in the privacy of individual ‘Sahara-style’ shower tents whilst environmentally-friendly bio-toi loos are available for guest use.
Dar Tassa, literally meaning ‘The Home of Motherly Love’ in the local Berber language, extends a heartfelt welcome to all who wander to our corner of the world. An eco-friendly guest house retreat, Dar Tassa is located just 1 hour 20 minutes by road from Marrakech, inside Toubkal National Park, home to the highest peak in North Africa (Jebel Toubkal 4,165 metres).
